The Challenge
Due to the company’s growth a large, centrally located facility became critical. Cambridge, MA was selected because of the company’s roots there, its commitment to the city and proximity to local talent. TRITECH was awarded the AV scope because of its previous successful projects, and 7 year history with them.
The new space includes an atrium with a communal staircase that features an immense wrap-around video wall and breakout areas, numerous research labs, and well-being rooms. It also features a diverse group of collaboration spaces for teams to come together across the company’s business units.
Multiple LED video walls are featured throughout the space in various configurations and sizes. They tell the company mission, successes, commitment to sustainability, and provide neighborhood and facility information. Coordination with other trades and skilled workmanship were vital to having each video wall blend into various environments.
The need for flexible, feature rich and user friendly collaboration spaces was critical since much of the workforce is highly mobile and spread throughout the world.
The Solutions
TRITECH provided more than 80 conference rooms in various sizes and configurations that include more than 110 different AV systems. The communicating stairs video wall is a marvel of technology and art, providing beautiful and inspiring imagery across its enormous surface that rises 5 stories.
Nearly every type of display technology is used within the facility. Digital audio systems provide sound enhancement in the larger spaces while a variety of audio and video conferencing systems are also used throughout the space. Small meeting spaces feature all in one type conferencing systems in various configurations. The systems provide useful and practical collaboration technology while the public facing displays and video walls highlight the company’s accomplishments and goals to employees, visitors and guests.
The Outcome
Hailed as a development that focuses on maximizing open space, utilizing alternative energy solutions, and achieving high building sustainability standards, the new HQ facility has been well received by the community and the people who work and visit there. TRITECH delivered AV systems that improve the quality of the Company’s meetings while enhancing the building’s utility and functionality. TRITECH is proud to have been an integral part of the design and construction teams, playing an important role in the large, complex project’s successful completion and achievement of its goals.
